Vanilla sugar is one of those things that serve no real purpose other than make life a little sweeter and a little nicer. We need more things in life like that.

Requirements:
- Airtight container
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 whole vanilla bean (use 2 vanilla beans for slightly stronger scented sugar)

Procedure:
- Place sugar in airtight container

In addition to the all the normal ingredients there are two prerequisites to a tasty margarita:

1. Hot weather I just don’t understand people who drink frozen margaritas when it’s cold outside.

If you’ve recently roasted or otherwise cooked a whole chicken you’ve already got the main ingredient for chicken stock: a chicken carcass. In a large stockpot place the chicken carcass (bones, skin, necks and back included) and cover with cold water. Plop in an assortment of cut up veggies like carrots, onions and celery.

There are gadgets you can buy for separating eggs but they’re really just a waste of money. Nature equipped humans with the best egg separating gadgets on earth: hands. Yep, the easiest and most efficient way to separate eggs is by using your hands. So suck it up, wash your hands really well and let’s get to it.

Marshmallows aren't just fluffy and tasty they’re also useful!

1. Shove a miniature marshmallow down into the tip of a sugar cone to prevent ice cream from dripping out the bottom of the cone.

2. Plop a couple marshmallows in with your brown sugar to keep it from hardening.

Grip the avocado in one hand, tightly enough that it’s not going to slip from your hand but no so tightly you’re squishing the flesh inside.

Using a sharp knife in your other hand cut the avocado in half, lengthwise around the pit. When you’ve cut all the way around the avocado gently twist the two halves in opposite directions and pull apart. The pit will remain stuck in one half.
